D. & S. Co., Ltd. was formed by Mr. and Ms. Chen Der-hsiung solely in October 1967. Its focus has been on shipping agency, ship operation and marine freight forwarding in the area of northeast Asia、southeast Asia and Mainland China.
To provide better services for machinery and stone industry, Deryoung Maritime CO.,S.A. established and started operations from June 1980. For carrying machinery equipment from Japan and Taiwan to Indonesia, tramping service was supplied by chartered vessels. From April 1988, the Thailand-Taiwan line for carrying marble and granite, and China-Taiwan line from August 1990 for carrying steel products from Taiwan to China and carrying granite from China to Taiwan was increased.
There were three 5,000-6,000 tons class vessels: M.V."DERYOUNG STAR", M.V."DERYOUNG SKY" and M.V." DERYOUNG SUNRISE" purchased in the year of 1995, 1996 and 1997. Those vessels, had been deployed in our China-Taiwan line(no longer served).
For expanding our servicing dimension, the 8,200-12,000 tons twin decks and multi-purpose vessel M.V. "DERYOUNG SUNSHINE(2000)", "DERYOUNG SUPERSTAR(2002)" , "DERYOUNG SPRING(2004)" , "DERYOUNG SHINESTONE("2005), "DERYOUNG SUNFLOWER(2007)", "DERYOUNG SUCCESS(2012)", and "DERYOUNG SUNBRIGHT(2013)", were all built and delivered from Japan. There are all equipped with two 30 tons derricks and two 30-42 tons crane, a combination which can lift up to 60-82 tons loading. Another 11,500 tons vessel "DERYOUNG SUNNYSKY" is also join our services in 2015. It equips with two tons derricks and two 30 tons cranes, and this combination can lift up to 40 tons of load.
For providing convenient, faster, and efficient services, Derfong Freight Forwarding Corp. was set up in June 1987. Door-to-Door delivery then applied on special over-height and over-width machinery equipments and was on plant exporting/importing demand. We have agencies in many ports around the world.
Since our first establishment, we always evaluate the best way to improve stowage techniques, to periodically maintain the vessels in good condition, to update our computer and satellite equipment, to prepare the shipping documents in perfect manner, to monitor vessels' position and schedule all the efforts to constantly render the most efficient, most economic and fastest service to our customers. We not only update our service quality, but also push our efforts to provide our customers a full and perfect service. We bear in mind that shipping enterprise is not a day’s work but a century's career.
